Javid Jafarov

Javid has been a PhD Candidate at the University of Vechta (Germany) since August 2017. In 2016/17, he worked as a Visiting Research Associate at the School of Social Sciences, Education, and Social Work of Queen's University Belfast contributing to the present SCOTENS-funded study on children's voice in the Island of Ireland, as well as a GCRF-funded study on gender inequality in educational leadership positions in Azerbaijan. Javid also holds an MSc in Educational Leadership (2014) from Queen's University Belfast. Before that, Javid worked, for seven years, as teacher of English and coordinator of international school partnerships at a private Lyceum of Azerbaijan. He also worked as Lecturer in Leadership and Management at Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management. His research interests are in educational leadership and management, citizenship education, and human rights education with a special focus on post-soviet societies.
